The African Energy Commission (AFREC) through its African Energy Information System (AEIS) and capacity building programs has been supporting the Energy Statisticians from the AU Member States to address issues related to data collection, analysis and dissemination.

Validation Workshop for the Framework for Cross-Border Strategic Cooperation in Skills Sharing in the African Energy Sector

As part of the implementation of “Component 2: Capacity Building of African Institutions and People” under its agreement with SIDA, AFREC is developing a Strategic Framework for Cross-Border Skills Sharing in the African Energy Sector. This initiative is crucial for addressing skills gaps, fostering knowledge exchange, enabling technology transfer, and strengthening capacity building efforts across African countries and institutions. The consulting firm, African Schools of Regulation (ASR), has made significant progress in drafting the report.
