The African Energy Commission (AFREC) is a continental specialised energy agency of the African Union (AU), under the Department of Infrastructure and Energy, in charge of coordinating, harmonising, protecting, conserving, developing, rational exploitation, commercialising and integrating energy resources on the African continent.
