
Given the importance of energy statistics for the implementation of the United Nations Agenda 2030 for sustainable development and the African Union Agenda 2063, the African Energy Commission (AFREC) and the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) are organizing an online side event of the 56th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, to share on the best practices for energy data collection and good experiences of countries in the production of energy statistics and also discuss the challenges that countries face in producing quality energy statistics.
