From 27 to 28 May 2025, the African Energy Commission (AFREC) of the African Union successfully convened a Validation Workshop on the Framework for Cross-Border Strategic Cooperation in Skills Sharing in the African Energy Sector in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The workshop was part of the implementation of Component 2: Capacity Building of African Institutions and People, under AFREC’s partnership with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). It marked a key milestone in AFREC’s efforts to address skills gaps and promote collaboration across borders within Africa’s energy sector.
