Who: Convened by the African Union Commission Department of Infrastructure and Energy, jointly with the African Energy Commission (AFREC) African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), African Development Bank (AFDB), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). The conference will bring together partipants form the AU member states, regional Economic Communities, AU organs and specialised agencies, development partners, private sector, academia, civil society and media.

Background

The conference aim to provide a platform for a public discussion on Africa’s common position on energy transition in relation to ‘‘opportunities and challenges for Africa’s Energy Transition to reach net-zero emission’’.
